Cyclist dies after collision in Chapel St Leonards

Police confirm that a cyclist in his 30s has died following a two-vehicle collision near Chapel St Leonards.

 

Officers were called to the incident, which occurred on Sloothby High Lane, Hogsthorpe, at 2pm on Friday, 29 November.

A white Vauxhall Combo van and a pushbike were involved in the collision, and motorists were advised to avoid the area while members of the emergency services attended.

Police said:

‘Our thoughts are with the cyclist’s family, and specially trained officers are supporting them during this incredibly distressing time.

‘Investigators are now working to piece together what happened and are appealing for information.

‘If you witnessed the incident or saw the vehicles before or after the collision, please get in touch.

‘We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have dashcam footage of the vehicles involved in the incident.
