Lincolnshire Police has launched a murder investigation following the death of a 55-year-old man in Lincoln earlier this morning (9 December).
Officers attended Carholme Road just before 11.30 pm yesterday (8 December) and discovered a man with serious head injuries.
Police said:
‘He sadly passed away at the scene and his family have been made aware.
‘A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
‘A cordon is currently in place and is likely to remain for some time and as a result, we’ve had to close the stretch of road from the A46 to Carholme Road.
